Congratulations are in order for the second time in a week! Will Guin, a PhD student studying under Dr. Wang, was selected as the winner of UA's Three Minute Thesis competition last night. Will had just 180 seconds to present his research on poptube technology (a new method of growing carbon nanotubes) to a diverse, university-wide audience. Will will represent UA at the Council of Southern Graduate Schools competition in San Antonio next February. Also representing the Civil, Construction & Environmental Engineering department was PhD student Ali Kashani, who was selected by audience as the People's Choice Award winner.
