MS student Nathan Klenke recently learned he would be the recipient of an Eisenhower Graduate Fellowship from the Federal Highway Administration for the 2015-2016 academic year. This is a part of the Dwight David Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship Program. The fellowship will help support Nathan's research on a new project being funded by ALDOT and PCA, and cover the cost of travel to the 2016 TRB meeting in Washington, D.C.
Nathan has worked on various research projects since January 2013 as both an undergraduate and graduate student. His new project will investigate the durability of several diamond grinding textures for concrete pavements in an effort to increase traffic safety in Alabama.
